Little Question

Noswaith da, how would one say “I’m really looking forward to seeing you next Month”?
I am going to SA to meet my daughter next month for the 1st time since she was 4 and a half Months old, she is now 34! She is immensely proud that I am learning to speak Welsh so I’d like to be able to say the above!

Diolch yn fawr iawn

One way to say that would be
Dw i’n edrych ymlaen yn arw i weld ti mis nesaf.

Thank you Hendrik, is that from North or is it South? I only ask as I am doing North!

I believe Hendrik’s translation applies all over Wales but in the South you’ll also hear “disgwl” instead of “edrych”. If you stick with “edrych” you won’t go wrong.
I tend to say “dy weld ti” but I’m never sure if that’s learner speak (or even wrong)

Many thanks Huw I will keep Hendrik’s translation :+1:

I wrote my translation without thinking too much about grammatical correctness… dy weld ti is correct, and i also mixed up the preposition after edrych ymlaen
So the grammatically correct sentence should be
Dw i’n edrych ymlaen yn arw at dy weld ti mis nesaf.
But you’d be understood with my sloppy first version
