Linking ssiw on iphone and ipad

Hi, I’ve just signed up and have paid for an annual subscription. I usually use my iphone (an old one, need to upgrade it) but would like to be able to use my ipad sometimes. My problem is that it doesn’t seem to sync like it does with other apps e.g. Duolingo and I can’t find anything in settings to do this. Can anyone help? Thanks
