Levels

I have read posts where people refer to what level they are on. I may well still be on level one, but how would I know?

The levels refer to the mp3 course, which is 3 levels of 25 roughly half-hour lessons, or “challenges” as they’re called.
The continuous learning of the app uses much the same material, but not entirely. No-one seems to have a clear answer as to how much learning time on the app corresponds to using the challenges. It depends how quickly you go through, whether you use the pause, repeat, or skip buttons frequently, etcetera.
I think somewhere is a list of vocab for the challenges. If you find that, and see which words you know and when they’re introduced, that will give you an idea. If while using the app you have encountered most of the words up until those listed for level 1 challenge 10, for example, you could say that’s where you are.
It’s not supposed to be important, just so long as we all keep learning. But comparisons are useful at times, especially if you’re wanting to chat to someone at a similar stage of learning.
If we all keep (politely!) nagging, perhaps eventually someone will provide a rough equivalence between the challenges and the new belt system.
