Level 2 challenge 17

I have so many questions on level 2 challenge 17 I can’t remember them all but here are a few to start:

Why has “I’d rather”, which has always been “well gen i” before, suddenly become “byddai’n well gen i”?

When Catrin & Aran say “swn i chdi” there seems to an extra “i” sound, as if it’s “swni I chdi”? Am I hearing that right?

How critical is the word order when saying “I wouldn’t give him time to relax” (for example)? I’m naturally saying “ Fyddwn i ddim yn rhoi amser i ymlacio iddo fo” but the correct version is “Fyddwn i ddim yn rhoi amser iddo fo ymlacio”. How much does that matter?

Sounds like you are doing well to even find that there are nuances here😀 . That’s a tricky challenge.

Just my take from the top of my head -
Well gen i - Better for me
Bydd well gen i - will be better for me.
So both sort of mean I’d rather.

I think the (extra) i in: i chdi is a bit of accent carry over (?)

Word order sounds more natural on the Challenge, but probably not a matter of life or death

Hope this helps :grinning:

PS I have the same problem with “I said blah blah blah to him”/… said to him blah blah blah". Both mean the same thing really.
