Level 1 Challenge 12 (South) Audio Missing

Apologies if this is already being addressed. I had a quick search and saw there was previously an issue with this lesson which has been fixed. However I get a different problem (you may already be aware of it). At around the 1:20 mark, it goes from Cat saying “Mae hi’n moyn” to Cat saying “Mae hi’n moyn gofyn rhwybeth i ti” twice, before Iestyn says it. No English in between at all. I came across the same problem listening via the app and via the website (mobile). Not a major problem but thought I should flag it up.

I’ve noticed several such mistakes in the whole Northern Level 1 (did Challenge 16 yesterday) from the thing that Catrin saying something slightly or even totally different than @aran all the way to missing Catrin’s or Aran’s answer but in South version the one you describe is more lonely example than the rule. I’ve noticed that in the South version there are quite less mistakes than in the Northern version what I think is the problem of the new software SSiBorg which is used for the course creation, guilt especially as (as much as I could see, no one physically checks course anymore.

So, that’s why I’ve tagged Aran here.

Thanks for flagging it up, Ian - we do have occasional software or editing hiccups like this - one of these days, we’ll catch/cure them all…

Aw! please don’t take out all your blips and inconsistencies! It has been one of the joyful reminders that actually we are all human, there will be errors and variations, there is proof out there that I did hear aright and, yes, I noticed an inconsistency so that’s proof that I am pretty secure in my understanding/learning. It is a huge motivator to revise and review, and discuss on Slack. How about a “fess-up” coda tacked on at the end, instead? Could you keep the original version available, a sort of aural Where’s Wally?

My brother is a musician and I’ve been a page-turner for him at recording sessions… Just how much should we aim to iron out every blip and lose the spontaneity of live performance? Can we accept the joys of imperfection? Be like the weavers of Baluchistan who dare not rival God, by turning out patterns that might offend by being without an inconsistency? I’m not pro-immaculate. Conceptually or otherwise. I really like humanity.

You can always download the whole material before it’s checked.

I’ve mentioned the errors because for some they maybe aren’t such a motivation though. I’ve done all southern material so I don’t have any difficulties of understanding the Northern one also and at least in Level 1 I can sense the errors. I could very well go through the whole thing I’ve already done and mark the points exactly but I know this is not what one of the staff would desire me to do at all (they don’t need either strive for my help)… From some points of view I’m even sorry I’ve got into conversation at all, noticing too much “unneccessary” things.

Hwyl!

Good catch … diolch Ian. There was probably a small child or something that distracted me at the moment I was processing that exchange

And just to confirm that @lewie has produced a corrected file and I’ve just uploaded and replaced it.
