It’s interesting to see the increase of viewers outside of Cymru and the use of new technology: so it isn’t all bad news. I think a lot of the drop is due to the repeats something effecting most British t.v
channels.
Another small area that can be improved is availability of over-the-air services in those parts of Wales where geographical layout is a problem - particularly in Barry, where we’re having to subscribe to services such as Sky or Virgin to receive Welsh channels as the only way to get our TV through our aerial is from across the Bristol Channel! There could be MANY potential viewers here that would watch S4C, but cannot afford a subscription to Sky et al or receive a clear enough signal from their aerial - even though the transmitter in Wenvoe is nearest, because they live at the bottom of a hill! A relay transmitter in these sorts of areas would be more beneficial really.
