I came across this video today, and I thought it might be interesting to some of you, even if you have no intention of becoming a polyglot
Hola/ Dia duit/ s’mae/ hello
Very diddorol indeed. Iontach maith. Muy interasante. I totally agree. Primarily: Enjoyment. I loved learning Irish, Cymraeg and now español. It really opens new opportunities to an adventure speaking to people in their own native language. I personally have to be inventive. Keep myself interested, listening, reading, speaking and writing in no particular order or rational way. But something every single day. Weather its one word or 1 hour walking listening to the target language. One minute i find myself saying wow this is amazing, then a few days or weeks later iv found something else amazing. Im so fickle lol. Yip i pretty much embarrassingly have to say secondary school for me was short lived lol. But if you love, enjoy or see improvement in something you will return again and again. Patience does help and i have lots of patience for repetitiveness. Im quite happy to listen again and again etc until maybe im feeling slightly bored. But that’s usually an indication iv got it. There’s no right or wrong way to learn a language, just ‘YOUR WAY’.

Thanks for sharing it!
By the way, a few years ago had done an on line course with the Benny the speaker mentioned - it was very interesting and lots of helpful tricks, material and links.
Just looked and found a revamped version here, if anyone’s curious:
However still haven’t been able to apply the tips to German language learning but maybe someday!
