PARTNERSHIP MANAGER

  • Community Fire Safety Department, Caernarfon
  • Permanent, 37 hours per week
  • NWFRS Grade 06 £24,982 to £27,741 per annum

We are looking to appoint a Partnership Manager to join our Community Fire Safety Department.
Fire and Rescue Authorities have a duty under the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 to provide
information, publicity and encouragement to prevent fires and associated deaths and injuries.

Collaborating with other organisations and agencies, the Partnership Manager is responsible for the
effective and efficient delivery of community safety initiatives within communities in the Gwynedd
and Anglesey authority areas.

The Partnership Manager also line manages a team of communitybased staff who undertake Safe and Well Checks and will also supervise the delivery of fire safety awareness activities and safety campaigns within the authority areas.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, with the ability to develop strong
working relationships with colleagues and external partnership agencies and organisations. They will be self motivated and organised, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities to successful conclusion.

The ideal candidate for the role will have:

  • Awareness of national and local fire and rescue service core activities and functions.
  • Experience of developing, supporting and managing individuals with teams.
  • Experience of dealing with and building effective working relationships with professional bodies, organisations and local authority departments.
  • A pro-active and self-motivated approach with the ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.
  • The ability to interpret physical and written information and apply professional judgement based on training, knowledge and experience.
  • Computer literacy, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Hold a full UK Driving licence.
  • The ability to communicate confidently in Welsh to Level 4 is essential for this post.

Appointment subject to Disclosure & Barring Service Check and satisfactory references.
This department is normally located in the Community Safety Office in Caernarfon, but staff are
currently working remotely/from home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the ability to continue
agile working in the future.
