I'm missing the obvious...probably

dywedodd bod fi yn siarad Cymraeg yn dda iawn…so why is it ‘fi yn siarad’ and not ‘dw i’n siarad’? (This is in Challenge 15, Level 1). Thanks.

As JP says bod = that.

(Bit technical now, apologies) Also, bod = to be. So I am in English is a form of “to be”. “Dwi” is a form of bod.

So you wouldn’t say “bod dwi”. You replace dwi with “bod fi’n” (or fy mod i’n) and save a word :slight_smile:
