That this is far and away the best language learning method that I have ever used.
In a couple of decades of using dozens of different methods to learn languages that I’m reasonably good at and ones that I just dabble in, I haven’t found a single one that feels more fun or more effective in terms of time spent.
When I first started with SSiW, I thought “Oh, it’s another Pimsleur clone”. Boy, was I wrong. It’s so much more intense, comprehensive and effective. It’s the language learning version of those old-school dads who’d teach their kids to swim by chucking them in the river, and I love it.
A big thank you to Aran, Iestyn and everyone else who has helped to develop the course. My only regret is that there aren’t more languages available using this method, here or elsewhere. I’m very much looking forward to Bwtcamp in April and thanking you in person.
