I would prefer to go

Hi
I’m going round in circles trying to find a neat way of saying “I would prefer to go…” (using the conditional, not just "mae’n well gen i " and none of them really look right.
Any suggestions gratefully received
Diolch!

How about byddai’n well gen i?

Yes - as Deborah says…Byddai’n well gen i fynd or Basai’n well gen i fynd is the way to do it!

I was taught “basai’n well gyda fi…” for “I would prefer…”

That’s an alternative - basai’n and byddai’n are the same thing, just variations.

Deborah, it took me an unconscionable length of time to learn to substitute basai and variants for byddai. ( I live in Dyffryn Conwy). The later stages of the SSiW courses and more recently the App were a bit of a challenge for a while.
