I asked my tutor on the ‘Gloywi iaith’ course about it, and she asked someone on the faculty in the Welsh department here in Cardiff.

Thanks very much for the answer! I’ve been trying to find something in books or on the web about it, and couldn’t find anything other than along the lines of what I wrote above.
Still, as someone interested in such things to another, as you say it doesn’t matter in the great scheme of things!
