Huw Fyw - new drama by Tudur Owen

Huw Fyw

This is the true story (well, true-ish) of Huw – or Huw Fyw as everyone calls him, since the other Huw in the village died in the Second World War.

Marking 80 years since the end of the Second World War, this new play from comedian Tudur Owen explores hope, laziness and how to make 4 cuppas from just one teabag! In his first ever stage play, Tudur will also star as Huw Fyw, alongside Owen Alun , Dafydd Emyr and Lois Meleri Jones , directed by Steffan Donnelly .

This new comedy show by Tudur Owen is going on tour!

There are numerous performances throughout Cymru during the month of May. All the dates are shown on the website - Theatr Cymru - with links to book tickets, and I’ve heard there’s a discount for Welsh learners.

If you’re thinking of going to a performance, how about posting here and perhaps a few other SSiWers will be able to join you!

It suggests that one of the performances will be filmed. I would love to go, but if that isn’t possible due to distance, I do hope I will get to see it, on here somewhere.

Haven’t booked yet, but hope to go to the performance in Rhosllanerchrugog on 20 May. Thanks for posting about it! Saw it mentioned last month then forgot.

The 20th in Rhos looks good to me too.
