How to say year numbers?

How do we say year numbers? e.g. 1931? Is it mil naw cant tri deg un? or un deg naw tri deg un? or pedair a bymtheg tri deg un? Or something completely different?

Or just “mil naw tri un”.

I think it’s worth adding that 2000 is dwy fil, so 2006 is dwy fil a chwech, 2018 is dwy fil ac undeg wyth. I’m not sure how things will develop as the century progresses, since popular usage is quite unpredictable - maybe the dwy fil a… pattern will continue, maybe something else will happen!

Isn’t 2018 dwyfil a ddaunaw or ddaunaw ar ol dwy fil?

Some people say dwy fil a deunaw, yes, possibly because it’s nice and short. Will they be saying dwy fil a phedair ar bymtheg next year? I suspect it’s too much of a mouthful!
