Liz Riley Jones has just finished writing the last book in the Hiraeth trilogy. The books are inspired by big Celtic themes; the Mabinogion, music, Welsh and Irish mythology and texts. The list is long and fairly comprehensive, but the overriding theme is the Welsh language. The initial inspiration was her ten-year battle with the language but it has morphed into some sort of homage to it. Hiraeth is a Celtic noir fantasy adventure , and the first part, Hiraeth - a mark - marc will be published by December. Here’s the website address http://hiraeth.me
Also there is a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Hiraeth.a.story?ref=hl
Thank you very much for sharing this - it is clearly a huge labour of love, and I hope it will be very popular.
Should Dee put it in the newsletter now, or do you think it would be better to wait until December?
It might be an idea to do it now as the website might take that long to read! Especially if people want to practise on the Welsh site. Thank you .
