Hello from South Yorkshire!

Diolch, @craigf, but, as I told @aran, I thought the ‘y’ should sound like it does in Cymru, and I always say it that way, just naturally. As I seem to be 2/3 de and 1/3 gog, I wondered if this was my gog third talking, so asked him how he says llyfr!!
I’ve asked twice now!!

Um, Course 2, Lesson 9 Northern?

Llyfr on its own should have the ‘i’ sound - llyfrgell, by contrast, would have the ‘y’ (as in ‘y gath’).

Diolch! So I have been saying it wrongly all these years, or with an accent so rare as to be best forgotten! I will try very hard to remember the ‘i’ sound!
You see, you say “Make mistakes!”
You mean , so we can learn from them, not so that we can carry on making them!! And if I don’t know when a mistake is a mistake, I can’t learn!!!
So, diolch @craigf and @aran!! :sunny:
