'Hefyd' podcasts - interviews with new Welsh speakers

One of this year’s Dysgwr y Flwyddyn finalists mentioned this series of podcasts, which I hadn’t heard of before. It sounds like it could be useful for extending your listening skills.

Richard describes it as:

Hefyd is my podcast about the lifes of Welsh learners – people or are learning (or have learnt) the language as adults.

In each episode I’ll be interviewing one such person, asking them about how and why they decided to learn, and finding out how the language is now a part of their lives.

Hefyd is aimed at intermediate/advanced Welsh learners, as well as fluent Welsh speakers. I’ll aim to share vocabulary to assist learners with each episode.

You can listen on the website at https://richardnosworthy.wales/podcast/ or through a variety of different podcast sites.

Just bumping this up as the latest interview is with Josh Osborne who won the Medal y Dysgwyr in the recent Eisteddfod yr Urdd. He learnt to speak Welsh over the period of the Cyfnod Clo (Lockdown) and lives in Abertawe (Swansea)

If you go to the link above, you’ll see it as the most recent podcast.
