Since i wished our Irish friends a happy St Patrick’s Day, may I now wish our English friends and family a happy St George’s Day - chware teg :smile:

Now where the heck can I find a rose for Maureen in the next hour or so? :worried:

I’ve celebrated this day for decades, Huw. Last night I asked a number of people what today was and sadly, nobody knew…I’m out to celebrate in half-hour.

Have a great time, Kim. Mrs Jones & I have opened a bottle of “shampoo” for the occasion. It seems ages till St Andrew’s day! :frowning:

Quite right too, I enjoy quietly celebrating all of the saints’ days of our islands.

I too like to celebrate all our patron saints days - but I find few people know what St Piran’s day is :frowning: Shame.

I always wondered, does anyone know… was Shakespeare actually born on 23rd April, or was St. George’s Day chosen as a day to celebrate ‘the Bard’?
