Gŵyl Cilgerran Aug 13th to 21st

I made it along to the Coracle Racing event during Gŵyl Cilgerran last year and what a lot of fun it was. All the announcements were bilingual and there was a lot of Welsh being spoken around me. If you’re down this way on holiday perhaps you could add it to your calendar.

Gŵyl Cilgerran

The Cilgerran Festival will begin on August 13th with a Horticultural Show in the Village Hall.
The week is filled with events for both children and adults.

On Sunday at 11 am there will be Sports at the village MUGA and a concert in the village church at 6pm.

Monday August 15: tea party in the Village Hall at 2 o’clock with entertainment.
On Monday evening there will be a car treasure hunt beginning at 6pm on the village square.

On Tuesday on the river there will be a chance for children to go in canoes and a coracle for nothing. Commencing at 11 o’clock. There will also be an opportunity to participate in Forest School activities.

Tuesday evening at 7pm: Bingo in the Village Hall.

Wednesday evening - Donkey Derby starting at 6pm with a BBQ.

Thursday evening: ‘Cilgerran’s Got Talent’ for children at 6pm and ‘Stars in Your Eyes’ for adults at 8pm to be held in the Village Hall.

On Friday, a Treasure Hunt for families with a Roald Dahl theme. There will be a ‘Golden Ticket’ for all who take part that will give the chance of going into a chocolate factory!!

On Saturday the tradition of Coracle Racing will continue starting at 1.30 on the river Teifi down at Dolbadau in Cilgerran.

On Sunday to bring the week to a close there will be a carnival and after walking through the village there will be entertainment and activities at the football field.
