There is a Memrise based on the vocab based on the Ganolfan Dysgu Cymraeg Genedlaethol - Dysgu Cymraeg Mynediad A1 coursebook. Really helpful (& friendlier than Duolingo) - and it gives you a running total of words learned

I have Ap Geiriaduron on my phone. It’s useful if you’re out and about and you want to look something up. It works from Welsh to English and the other way too. It comes from Bangor University so hopefully it’s accurate.

Captain obvious advice but learn extra vocab first in the topics you are passionate about… mine is biology…so I knew ‘eplesu’ (ferment/to leaven) and ‘esblygu’ (to evolve) quickly! I need to be disciplined with more common words!
