Double Speed Practice

I seem to remember reading somewhere on the SSiW forum about double speed practices - not the squeaky listening practices but doing the challenges at double speed. Am I just remembering this wrongly? Is it even possible to speak that fast? If anyone has tried this, I would love to hear your experiences, tips and whether it was beneficial.

Thank you!

I don’t know if it was me writing about it. Anyway, when I tried to do a few older challenges from level 1 after finishing level 2, for example, I did them at faster speed to save time: I could easily understand the English ones, usually did not need the explanations and got most of them right so no need to listen to the two of them repeating the Welsh version.
However I did use pause sometimes to think of what I should say in the gap.

The advantage for me was challenging myself, avoid getting bored repeating things I had done before and finishing the challenge faster!

That is good to hear! It is about a year since I started the challenges (which took 3 months) and I feel like I need a refresh but a level up now. And I want to feel confident to have a go at a Slack conversation again (and possibly doing the 30 day challenge). I have got too used to reading and listening but not speaking!

Update for people reading this in the future. I have found that 1.8x is working better than 2x. Prepare to feel as much a beginner as you did when starting the course at normal speed!
