Can someone tell me the correct was to pronounce Dolwyddelan. I have heard it said in two ways. One sounds like “Dol-WITHER-lan” with the stress on “wither” and the other sounds like the English sentence: “Doll with Ellen” with the stress on “Ellen”. Which is correct?
I’m used to hearing it as doll-with-EL-an, stressing the EL.

In Welsh, the last but one syllable is almost always emphasised. So it’s DolwyddELan.
I think that what gives the lilt to the Welsh accent.
