Hi, this is my first time on the forum although I have been meaning to take the plunge for some time. I have just started Course 3 Gogledd and have hit a brick wall. I started learning Welsh about three and a half years ago, initially from books. Then I heard about Ssiw and have been working through the lessons for some months now. It has been extremely enjoyable! I do , however, back up the lessons with some background work. I find that I need to visualise the words for them to stick in my mind. At the beginning of the above lesson we were learning the colloquial ways of saying ‘dywedais i’ etc. It sounded something like ‘dydes i’ but I really don’t know and can’t find reference to this in any books. It really doesn’t help that I live in Hampshire at the moment and have no-one to test it out on. Can someone put me out of my misery? Gail Richards.
Hi Gail. If you pm Stu Bonham he has done a lesson guide, I am sure he wont mind sending you a copy. The guide says ddudes i. Andy
