Coroniad amgen? If you're not celebrating on the 8th

I don’t want to rain on the parade of anyone who’s really looking forward to the bunting and ceremony on the 8th – but in the event that your temperament or political sympathies are elsewhere, it could be good to have somewhere to post about other events or gatherings that might be of interest to Welsh-language enthusiasts.

NB: This is a very nice, supportive forum. I hope it’s okay to post this topic here – and I really wouldn’t want it to turn into a fight.

ETA: Just heard today that the ceremony is on Saturday not Monday. When I boycott news about the royals, I really boycott hard.

Not a gathering, as such, but next Saturday afternoon S4C will be broadcasting coverage of Geraint Thomas competing in the Giro d’Italia, if cycling’s your thing?

Saith Seren pub, Wrecsam (Wrexham) is holding an alternative event tomorrow after ‘canolddydd’ (midday)

Its simply to socialise and celebrate local culture/welsh language / sports / singing etc

Brilliant! I’ll be with them in spirit in Swansea, and may drop in on the pub when I’m in the area in July.
