No Cornish to be heard here - but a wonderful old film about the Padstow 'Oss with some amazing dancing practice 3-6 mins in. Strangely introduced by a Cockney accent and full of early 20th century Folk Revival romanticism; but it works well. Looking at the mostly very ordinary people participating in the film gives a strong sense of how something was done before it became a spectacle for outsiders. By about mid-April I find the tune popping into my head and watching this film every May has become a bit of a one-man tradition for me so perhaps others might appreciate it also. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISO1QmG_VE4
Thanks, Dyvrig — fascinating!
