I’m getting a little confused about the differences between (and I’ll spell them phonetically as I’m lousy at Welsh spelling!):
Nessee
Sonnee
Donnee
Tasse
and the ‘you’ version of each one.
Sometimes during a lesson I incorrectly substitute one for the other. Any tips on how to remember what each one means would be much appreciated.
Diolch!
I don’t know whether this old thread will help. “Wnes i …” is a completed action in the past, “O’n i …” is something that happened in the past over a period of time. “Do’n i …” is the negative of “O’n i…”.
That’s a great link from Margaret - also, don’t worry too much - it can take a while for the meaning to settle, but just keep on listening carefully to the model sentences and you’ll start to unpick the differences when your brain is ready…
