For some time now, a few native Welsh speakers, some people who have learned, and some advanced learners have been meeting informally for a chat on Wednesday evenings in the Arvon Ales Micropub/Tafarn Twt on Temple Street/Stryd Arlais in Llandrindod.
Now that summer has arrived, it has occurred to us that there will be people around who have finished formal classes and who are looking for an opportunity to keep their Welsh ‘going’ over the summer, so we are inviting everyone in mid Powys of whatever level to join us every Wednesday evening at around 8pm for an evening of Welsh chat, socialising and, if you’re into it, really good beer.

Helo!
Does the group mind beginners coming Outside of the summer? I’m on week 4 of SSIW and am moving to area in next couple of weeks. I speak Wenglish but limited real Welsh at the moment. No worries if not, I’ll join you all when I have progressed much more. I understand that you need just to enjoy chatting in Welsh freely.
Diolch!
Jen
@jenny-o-hara-jakeway - the original post by @robbruce was 4 years ago, but I’m sure he can let you know if it’s still going or if there are other opportunities for you.
Thanks for tagging me @Deborah-SSi!
Hi Jen - Everyone is welcome! Last night we had a first language speaker, a confident Uwch student, a somewhat less confident Canolradd student, a relative beginner (learning in conventional classes since September) and me (fluent second language). There was also a couple of other regulars missing.
So we have the full range represented, and you’d be more than welcome to come and add to the mix.
