Hi everyone. Today I’ve received this nice postcard, but unfortunately the sender has missed off their name and membership number! Does anyone recognise this card, I’d like to send a reply if possible.
The writer mentions that they used to sail a boat at Pwllheli before covid if that helps.

I’ve got to show you all this (I’ve obscured the recipient’s address, of course, but also her name/reference to her state given the thread is public)
A card of mine to an American member went the VERY long way round (about 9,000 miles more than necessary, give or take a few) to Malaysia. It did eventually make its way to the lady in question but she sent me a photocopy of my card complete with “oops, we messed up” stamp.
I can’t stop giggling. This has made my day. I’ve successfully confused the Post Office!

I had that same message stamped on a parcel sent from Canada ones. It made me quite curious that it’s something that clearly happens often enough for them to have a dedicated stamp made. 
I’ve just received an email informing me that the club is closing. Is there any reason given as to why? I’ll be sad to see it go but want to say thanks to those that have run it and those who have sent postcards over the years.

I just had this email too. Why is it closing? (Having asked that, I have only received ONE postcard in the last 12 months, so maybe it is just too big now?)
I didn’t know this was imminent but I have to say I’m not surprised. With postage costs these days it’s getting harder for people to afford to send anything and it is hard work for the volunteers keeping the administration going.
Perhaps we should give it a send-off with a flurry of postcard sending? I have a bunch I bought recently and I found some others while packing to move. I’ll have to get myself organised and send them all off to people

Sadly I have already got rid of all emails and all the addresses as requested in the emails so I can’t join the flurry. Not that I would expect a reply. Sent one a month in last two years and had one post card myself in that time.
It’s a shame. Maybe best to look for one or two dedicated pen pals. I’d be open for that if someone would like to be mine?
If you’d like someone to write to I’d happily respond to anything that I receive

Me too. Destroying addresses due to data protection concerns - but no problem keeping those of people still happy to correspond with you. I’m #23 - happy to send cards @Jackie @charlie-o - clue re your membership nos. would be appreciated though!! (Know not to get rid of those addresses then! 
).

I sent it through, but it would have been too late for the most recent list. I’m still at the same address until at least the end of January, the way things are going, but I can get mail at the new address too, so if anyone wants my new address, just DM me

I wrote my last 13 postcards on Sunday, then deleted the list, and I posted them all yesterday. I hope you enjoy your postcards, and don’t worry about sending one back.

Even more drist that I’d printed a bunch of Calennig themed postcards! I shall write them out, beth bynnag, delete the lists as per, but probably post them next week once in the UK to save on a bit of postage.
No need to reply if you receive one (#474) but I would love to keep up correspondance individually, if anyone is going to continue.
