Choosing between bod and gwneud in the future

Is there a difference between the use of bod and gwneud as auxiliary verbs in the dyfodol?
If so, what is the difference in meaning between sentences such as:
Mi fydd o’n mynd…
Mi wna fo’n mynd…

Using bod gives you the continuous future tense - he will be going
e.g. Mi fydd o’n mynd i Lundain bob mis - he will be going to London every month
Using gwneud gives you the simple future tense - he will go
e.g. Mi wnaiff o’n mynd i Lundain fory - he will go to London tomorrow
