Challenge 20 South

Hi, could someone please explain why ‘ar’ is used in the following phrase for ‘on Saturday’:

“It goes slowly on Saturday doesn’t it?” is “Mae’n mynd yn araf ar ddydd Sadwrn on’d yw hi?” (10:55)

when in previous challenges and in the following phrase in Challenge 20, ‘ar’ isn’t used:

“What are you going to do on Saturday?” is “Be’ ti’n mynd i 'neud ddydd Sadwrn?” (16:38)

It is because in the first phrase you are talking about something usually/regularly happens on a certain day (ar ddydd Sadwrn refers to all Saturdays in general) whereas in the second you are not referring to a regular occurrence, it’s a one-off time (just the one Saturday, not every Saturday)

Hope that makes sense
