This was a wonderful event on Saturday. Our local historian, who was the driving force behind the idea, was very nervous that no one would show up, but the venue was packed and the atmosphere was fantastic. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who got a lump in my throat when John explained that his research showed a strong possibility that The Porth was built on top of what used to be one of Owain Glydwr’s courts, and that an important part of his history lay beneath our feet.
The plan is to expand on this first event, perhaps holding a festival for children during the day, then the event for the adults at night. I’m looking forward to next year already!
