Black Book of Carmarthen

There is going to be a free lecture in English on the Black Book of Carmarthen on the 1st April, from 1:15 to 2:15 in the National Library in Aberystwyth.

The Black Book is the oldest surviving handwritten manuscript written entirely in Welsh, and the talk will focus on aspects of the book that haven’t been studied in detail as yet but are coming to light due to new technology.

While the talk is free, you need to book a ticket which can be done by phoning 01970 632548 or emailing siop@llgc.org.uk

I was lucky enough to see it for myself last February, and I have a facsimile page in a frame in the ty bach at home.
