I’m sure I heard “basai gen i” in a conversation today, just wondering what it means diolch

Without any additional context, I’d understand this as “I would have”:
Basai gen i fwy o arian tasai gen i swydd gwell – I would have more money if I had a better job.

Diolch Hendrik, it does make sense, it’s one of those patterns I don’t use very often.
