Hi there
I’ve been using automatic and love it but at 26 hours in it’s just sent me back hours and hours so I’m back on “dweud” - I can’t skip anywhere near far enough ahead to get where I was and I could cry, I don’t want to repeat everything I’ve done, I’m dying to learn new material!
Can you help please?
Thank you
We’d better wait until someone from the team pitches in who can look at your account if necessary, but I thought I’d jump in where angels fear to tread… It’s possible that it’s done something odd with swapping from WiFi to mobile data, or app to online, etc. It should all keep track of where you are and stay in sync, but logging out and back in might give it a kick-start. (I went back to square 1 with Italian one day, then I realised I’d left home with mobile data turned off…)
Hi @katy-benson - could you confirm that it’s the AutoMagic web app that you’re using, i.e. the one that runs in a browser and has automagic.saysomethingin.com as the URL at the top?
Or have you switched to the latest SaySomethingin mobile app? That also runs in a browser but it says app.saysomethingin.com at the top.
Just started Italian on the App with Automagic- It seems to send me back if I pause to do something else. Has anyone found a way of knowing where you are and sure how long the sessions are to plan time.
Are you getting repeats of the same introductions? You will get earlier material given to you to practise so that you’re constantly revising what has been presented before, but you shouldn’t get the exact same introductions again. If that’s happening the Tech Team will need to look into it.
The coloured belts give you an idea of your progress through the course material and whereabouts you are.
The sessions are as long as you want to make them. The learning comes in a continuous stream so it’s up to you to learn in chunks of time that suit you.
I’m using the browser
I tried the app but using the app seemed to trigger my progress going back by a long way in the browser version, thanks
@katy-benson yes, but both the AutoMagic prototype (which has automagic.saysomethingin.com as the URL at the top) and the new SaySomethingin app (which has app.saysomethingin.com as the URL at the top) run in a browser.
We need to know which of those you’re using.
