Automagic Hours Query

Hi All, I am currently doing Automagic via the website. I am on 14h 28m complete. When I use automagic via the new app I lose that time. Is this normal? Thanks

Helo @carwyn-davies-2, the new app doesn’t show the hours, just using the coloured belt system instead.

When you say you “lose that time”, do you mean that the new app seems to put you back to near the beginning? @rich has explained in the Big news thread what is causing that:

There are about a dozen items in the Welsh courses that the old Web App rather mysteriously did not mark as complete.

The items are scattered through the course but with quite a few near the beginning.

When we have looked, the new App has everyone’s progress but it is diligently doing its ‘completer finisher’ thing to get ticks in those boxes…and once they are done, will carry on.

So whilst it feels like the progress has gone, it actually hasn’t - it is all there.

So if that’s your situation, you just need to persevere while the ap gives you some revision practice of those items and ticks them off, then it will jump forward to where you are in AutoMagic.

In my case it doesn’t seem to log any hours that I have completed via the browser. It seems to know that I have done a lot because I am on black belt level but it shows zero hours for the current week when I do at least an hour a day. I’ve tried logging out and back in again but the issue persists.

@CZMCZM so that’s when you look in Stats - Your learning streaks? Are you doing any in the mobile app? Or just in the web version?

Hi on my web browser it shows total time of 15 hours and 8 minutes. On the app however it shows 0 time learnt. It puts me as a green belt instead

Yes @Deborah-SSi - my learning streak shows 0 hours for the week and an average daily total of 0 minutes. I have only been using the browser really as the pace is quite slow in the app and I can’t seem to skip beyond a certain point to make it speed up.
