Is asi que ever used in the sense of “here you are”?

I was in a cafe today and spoke entirely in spanish when ordering my cafe solo and I am sure that the lady said asi que when handing me my coffi.

Is there anything similar that it might have been? ( I don’t have the best hearing in the world so may well have mis heard.

I wasn’t completely sure, so I asked a native Spanish speaker, who said that it could well have been Así que. People sometimes use it without much meaning just as a follow up phrase, sometimes to elicit more explanation, e.g.

  • Voy a Madrid mañana
  • ¿A Madrid? Así que …

But in your situation, just to express “You requested a coffee, so here is the outcome” - kind of thing :slight_smile:
