Mae annwyd arnaf fi (or arna’ i) but of course changes for he, she etc. But my question…mae annwyd ar Sam. Is it always the shorter ‘ar’ if the name is given?
Yes, ar only changes when you use a pronoun. If you refer to anything else - a proper name or names or use a ‘the’ (Sam, Mr Jones, Mr a Mrs Davies, y ci), then ar doesn’t change.
