I’ve been using the Say something version of the app (North Wales) not the auto magic one and I’m having a few technical difficulties recently.
The sync between English, Welsh, text and timer is going a bit off quite a lot, especially if I press skip or revisit.
Start up times have suddenly got really long. Sometimes I start up and it has decided I want to begin a new language.
Sometimes it doesn’t give me even enough time to answer (I enjoy the challenge, but come on, that’s a bit too tough!
It’s a great product and taken me a long way with Welsh but I am getting disheartened by these issues. I usually listen and respond in the car on my commute so I can’t be faffing around trying to reset it when it goes wrong.
Any ideas? I’m loathe to go back to the auto magic app as I have made so much progress on this one and don’t want to start again.
We have been looking at issues where the performance of the App degrades (disproportionately) as the progress record size increases.
This results in a general sluggishness which slows everything that is going on/ or is meant to be going on…with secondary effects.
We have pinned it down to a particular action in a particular piece of software we are using to record the users actions (with a view to it being restored ‘next time’).
The good news is that with a small change to settings there appears to be a big improvement. We have tested it on a few accounts which have had problems, with good results.
All being well, we will release an update to the stores soon, with only this change in it.
This list looks suspiciously short – my app shows a list spanning several screens. Are you properly logged in under an account with an active subscription? (From the page on the screen go back a page and click on “My Subscription”)
