Great to see some new languages. I’m finding it difficult to navigate the app.
The old app let you understand which lesson you are on, select a particular lesson if you want to go back and rewind, fast forward etc. the new app doesn’t seem to have this function unless mine is glitched ?

The new app doesn’t have the concept of separate lessons. It gives you the learning in one continuous stream and it has an algorithm which gives you revision of earlier material as you move through.
The algorithm hasn’t been working quite as we want though, so there is new version of the app coming through - hopefully on Monday - that will address that.
We’re also working on changes to the way the Revisit and Skip functions work, so they will actually just move you back one Introduction item or forward one Introduction item, allowing more straightforward navigation.

Be helpful to have phonetic transcription for Japanese and other languages.
It’s already phonetic - written with hiragana not kanji. Once you learn hiragana you can sound out anything, without English expectations tripping you up. It’s better this way.
@aran please don’t give in! Or if you do, if you really must include Romanisations, please prioritise getting the setting for hiding the words to work? For me it never did anything when I tried AutoMagic Welsh. It’s one reason I stuck to the mp3 files.
Purely for pronunciation. Easier to learn Welsh without the phonetics but the Japanese and Chinese is not always clear and you can’t rewind. The focus was never on learning the writing first back in the old SSIW course. I used to take a look at the vocabulary and examples introduced which helped a lot.
