Hello, can anyone tell my why the app and the website don’t teach you the same words/ sentences? The app teaches Dw i’n mwyn and the web teaches Esiau.
Firstly, check that you have both set to the same version (i.e. North or South) - moyn is a Southern word for “to want”, so if you’re regularly bumping into eisiau as “to want” then you may have the web version set to Northern.
(you will come across eisiau in the South, but it tends to be used for “to need” down there rather than “to want”.)

Thanks for that. I found the option on the app to choose the region (south) but can’t find it on the web …
It should be at the bottom of the page. Here’s where it is on my screen when I open the ‘Learn’ section (I’ve set my banner to green, so don’t panic if yours is a different colour! Also, I’ve added the red circle for clarity - that won’t be on your screen)

I am currently using the app to SSIW. Are the lessons on the app the same as if I were to join the 6 month course? I appreciate that by only using the app, you probably don’t get access to the weekly live sessions, but is that the only difference? I started in earnest 2 weeks ago and am currently on challenge 3.
The lessons are the same as far as I’m aware, but the reason the 6 month course is more effective (i.e. you’ll get to the same fluency only much, much quicker) is that you get extra tasks, extra structure and extra support from the tutors via the weekly live sessions.
I’m new to learning Welsh, and have the app on my phone/iPad and I also listen to the Challenges on the website.
Are the audios exactly same for the app and the website? I’m only on challenge 3 but the last quarter seems different. Perhaps I’m going nuts? Am I imagining things.
I’m listening to the South region on my devices and the website.
Edit to follow up: I went and listened to both simultaneously, as it was bugging me. It turns out the lesson on the app stops 55 seconds before the end of challenge 3.
It wasn’t the Welsh that was different it was the wrap up, at the end.
Why that bit embedded itself in my brain, I don’t know.
