We’ll be making our first visit to Wales since I started learning with SSiW over the Bank Holiday weekend – camping near Bala, but with a trip to Caernarfon on the Sunday and down to the Talyllyn Railway on the Monday. I’ll have non-Welsh speaking partner and children with me, but was wondering if anyone might be around.

Damn - it would be nice to see you, but we’re pretty firmly off-grid on Sundays… no chance you’ll be near Caernarfon on the Saturday or Monday?
Well, the plan is to drive from Oxford to Blaenau Ffestiniog in time for the afternoon train on the Saturday, so we won’t be any closer than Porthmadog that day; but there’s no obvious reason not to do Talyllyn on Sunday and Caernarfon Monday… I’ve promised the less train-mad daughter a castle
