Any SSiWers in Iceland?

A group of Welsh farmers will be making a quick visit to Iceland in October, several of them Welsh-speaking, and they would be very happy to meet up with anyone who is learning Welsh while they are there. The details of the visit are:

Flying there on 14th October, landing middle of the afternoon. We’ll be staying 1.5 hours to the west of Reykjavik, but traveling about on the 15th, 16th and 17th. We fly back early on Thursday 18th.

We are a group of farmers, 13 in all. We are part of the Academi Amaeth Cymru (Agricultural Academy of Wales), a group that has been chosen through a Welsh Government plan to learn more about agriculture. The group includes farmers from all over Wales - 6 women and 7 men, from around 20 to 40 years old. They will be visiting businesses during the day, but there would be an opportunity to meet Welsh learners in the evening.

If someone would like to join us, we would be happy to buy an evening meal for them of course. It would be great to meet someone from Iceland to socialise and learn more about the country.

What a brilliant opportunity if we actually have someone in that area! Leave a message here and I’ll PM you Geraint’s email address so you can get in touch.
