Here’s another article someone linked to on facebook, from Canada this time, about how multi-lingual people (specifically people who do simultaneous translation) are able to use their brains better. (I’m obviously paraphrasing, and not very well.)

Very interesting Sionned. I’m always full of admiration for people that work as simultaneous interpreters. I can’t imagine doing anything harder, and I was once at a conference in Bangor where the same person did the job for the entire day - hours at a time with only short breaks between presentations. How they didn’t collapse on the spot was beyond me!
