Anglesey meet up

You’re very welcome to come to the next meeting on Thursday, 2.30 at the Gaerwen Arms.

Hello,

We are having another meet up on Thursday 18th November at the Gaerwen Arms, 2.30. Hope to see you there.

Hoping to attend tomorrow (wife and I): do we look for the tall dark man with a red rose boutonniere?

I’m sure we will find you!

Hello,

We ( wife and I) look forward to meeting you. Look for a red dragon ( stuffed toy, not real) .

Hwyl

Really sorry I’m not going to be able to make it to this meeting either! Hope to see you eventually!

Bit disappointed I can’t do the Angelesey meetings, because it’s where my learning Welsh journey started, went on holiday there again this year and spoke I bit Welsh, people were really helpful and supportive

That’s good to hear. We’re hoping to have the meeting every week so maybe you’ll be able to make it sometime.

It would be nice, booked again for next year, Benllech

S’mae Pawb,
Looking forward to attending the meet up on 2nd Dec. I need the practice. I would come tomorrow but I’m already busy.

We are meeting today in the Tafarn y Rhos on the A5 at Rhostrehwfa @ 2:30 due to congestion on the A5 and A55 near the Gaerwen Arms due to an accident on the Britannia Bridge.

We are still meeting at 2:00 pm every Thursday in the Gaerwen Arms for a coffee or cup of tea and a chat in Cymraeg. Please come and join us. Currently between 3 and 6 of us meet at the GA on a regular basis.

We are hoping to move to Anglesey soon, so I might be coming along at some stage when we have unpacked etc!

I’m going to be going on holiday to Trearddur Bay in Anglesey Sat March 25th until Sat 1st April.
Are there any Welsh speaking events nearby?
Or any welsh speaking practise groups nearby that I can join for a chat that week?
Or even anyone local that wants to meet to practise?
Any recommendations of things to visit in the area?

I’ll be coming from Scotland so want to practise as much Welsh as possible whilst there
Is the Thursday afternoon chat in the Gaerwen Arms still happening?

Hello.
Well done for learning Welsh when you live in Scotland. The Gaerwen Arms group are still meeting on a Thursday afternoon but I don’t attend now as I would call them Welsh speakers not learners. They are able to converse quite freely in Welsh. I speak Welsh and had taken my husband along as he’s learning.
We now go to a group, again 2 pm Thursday afternoon who meet at Oriel Môn, Llangefni and you would be welcome to come along. Just a word of warning though , both groups are just run by learners and we/ they consult each other via what’s app to check if anyone is going on the day. Usually there’s someone going.
There’s also a group who meet in Benllech in The Shed cafe, 10am Friday and Saturday mornings . Hope this helps you.

Hello, good to see these groups running. I’m moving to Anglesey this week with one reason to become fluent in Welsh! I look forward to participating at the various meetings.

I’ve completed all 3 levels a couple years ago and I’m going over them again now.

Thank you for the reply. Yes this helps massively thanks. Perhaps nearer the time if I message on here could you add me to the whatsapps (just for the week so I can check someone is going and address is correct etc)?

Really looking forward to practising

Wow that’s amazing! Bravo! I’m working on level 3 at the moment but hopefully will have finished it by the time I go to Anglesey.
