Got to Level 2 Lesson 5 and really enjoying it. Over several lessons they have thrown in amdanoch chi , amdanat ti etc but have never introduced it so have no idea what it means or how to use it. Have I missed a lesson somewhere?

So the chi variant relates to āplural or properā situations
ā¦the ti variant to referring to āsingular and familiarā - so pets(!), children, family members (although more senior ones might expect chi!), close friends.

Thanks, i understand that but have no idea what it means - has never been introduced as far as I recall
hi, @berwynclarke88
Amdanoch chi came as a surprise to me too the first time round.
āamā has various meanings including for, about, around, with.
Certain verbs need it to follow them. E.g. cofio am - remember about, aros am - wait for.
Dw iān cofio am Bryn - I remember about Bryn
But - āamā takes different endings when used with a pronoun.
Dw iān cofio amdano fe - I remember about him
Dw iān cofio amdani hi - I remember about her
In full
amdana i - about me
amdanat ti - about you (singular, familiar)
amdano fe - about him
amdani hi - about her
amdanon ni - about us
amdanoch chi about you (plural, formal)
amdanyn nhw - about them.
Happy to be corrected by those who actually knowā¦
