We often recommend the Garth Newydd Welsh Immersion experiences to SSiWers who are looking for something similar to the Bŵtcamps we used to run, but for any of you feeling that might be a little too much just yet, I’ve found out that they also offer some sessions that include explanations in English. These are run by experienced Welsh tutors, but you’re still in an area with plenty of opportunities to use your Welsh with locals, so a step along the journey to Welsh Only!
Then there is a special treat for people interested in learning more about Patagonia. Virgina, who hails from Patagonia, will be giving a taste of the culture there through the medium of Welsh!
Hello Tom, I’m considering coming on the course. Can you give some idea of what the structure of the week will look like? How intense will it be? Will you aim to get through all of Uwch 1?
Hello Julia, The idea with this course is that it will be a mixture of study and fun. Roughly speaking, the people on the course will be around the Uwch 1 level and we will revise and practice a lot of the patterns and then use them in real situations.
Hi @thomas-samuel. I see the ‘banner’ now says Uwch 1 on the website - but are you intending it to be very much Uwch 1 level, or more around Uwch 1 level (asking due to thought that Uwch 2 runs more alongside Uwch 1 than going up, as such).
@ann-6 Haia Ann! Unfortunately that’s a mistake.
Just to confirm, there’s no concert on this particular weekend.
But please do let me know if you have any other questions or queries.
Anyone who may be interested in attending is more that welcome to send me a message here if they have any questions or via email at: aelswith2@gmail.com
Of course there will be another opportunity in September and also the Patagonia course for those who wants to know more about the history and interesting facts!
