Adwaith lyrics

I went to see Adwaith when they played in Oxford, and am going to Leeds to see them again next week and really looking forward to it.

The thing is, I bought Bato Mato on CD, and Solas on download, but I’m pretty sure (from the merch stall in Oxford and/or a comment I saw here somewhere) that the vinyl of Bato Mato had at least some of the lyrics on the inner sleeve (and I’m hoping Solas is the same).

So I’m wondering if anyone has either or both of them on vinyl and would be willing to post photos of the inner sleeves here, to help me with the singing along in the car on my way to the gig…

Just giving this a bump as the gig’s the day after tomorrow. @robbruce - don’t suppose you’ve got Solas on vinyl?

Not that this helps - but I’ve got it on CD, no lyrics to be seen here :confused:
Regardless, hope you enjoy the gig

Several here

Thanks for all of those - some of them I was aware of, but not all. There are listener’s transcriptions on genius lyrics of most of Bato Mato now (but only Addo so far, off Solas) - but they’re a bit uncertain in quality, so I was hoping to go to the source :slight_smile: Ah well - I’ve listened enough to be getting familiar with many of the tracks, so some of it’s percolating into my brain as it is!

I am also trying to get the lyrics for the latest‘ Solas’ album, i saw them in Caerfyrddin last week and they were ardderchog-excellent. I can make out most of the lyrics but not clearly everything. I will definitely try and see them again, very good live performance. Recommend !

The Leeds gig was great. They’re playing Gŵyl Tawe (free music event in Abertawe/Swansea) on 7 June, which is actually closer to me in Oxford than Leeds was… although as the last act before Gruff Rhys (headliner), they might be on too late for me to get home afterwards… (You can see I’m already planning ahead!)

Ro’n i newydd glywed Gwenllian Anthony (mewn y foto) ar radio Cymru sgwrsio gyda Marc Griffiths am Adwaith a’i daith ar draws Prydain ac Ewrop. Hefyd, bydd rhaglen ar radio Cymru2 sy wedi recordio nos yfory 7yp, am y grŵp a’r cyngerdd llawn yng Nghaerfyrddin o wythnos diwethaf oes diddordeb gydag un rhywun ?

I had just heard Gwenllian Anthony (in the photo) on Cymru radio chatting with Marc Griffiths about Adwaith and their journey across Britain and Europe. Also, there will be a program on radio Cymru2 that has been recorded tomorrow night at 7pm, about the group and the full concert in Carmarthen from last week, is anyone interested ?

Gŵyl Tawe doesn’t run on late - it’s an afternoon event. When Adwaith headlined a couple of years ago, they were done by 7.

BTW, no, I don’t have the album on vinyl, but my daughter was given a copy - I’ll ask her about lyrics.

@RichardBuck

Apparently, yes, the lyrics are included in the vinyl version of the album.

This was them in Caerfyrddin. I don’t like sitting down at gigs, any more than I like going to ‘shows’ or, less still, ‘concerts’, but I was prepared to make an exception.

They’ve come a long way (although literally 100 yards up the road!)

The Leeds venue was, apparently, a former petrol station, with the main stage below ground level where the petrol tanks used to be! Definitely no seating there…
