A Child's Christmas In Wales

Hi All–I don’t participate in the forum much but I wanted to share something as it’s Christmas!

My dear Uncle Randy, an actor all his life, passed away in January of this year after a brief illness. Though he didn’t study Welsh and never got to visit Wales himself, my uncle was proud of his Welsh ancestry and was one of the biggest supporters of my Welsh studies, which I’ll always be grateful for. I loved watching my uncle perform, and one of my favorite memories is of seeing him do a reading of “A Child’s Christmas In Wales” (he was a great fan of Dylan Thomas.) It seems that a friend of my uncle has posted the audio of his recording on YouTube, so I wanted to share it for anyone who would enjoy listening to it.

Mwynhewch, a Nadolig Llawen pawb! :christmas_tree:

What a treasure. That must be a very moving and powerful discovery for you - I hope it gives you joy mixed with the sadness.

Happily it gives me mostly joy–I’ll be making listening to it part of my Christmas tradition going forward!
