No worries, Aran. Enjoy your trip!
Amazing the difference from day 1. It will be interesting to see if you solve the mystery of the new form of ‘do’ between streams.
It turned out to be a do/make kind of thing - I’ve swapped out a bunch of them, and we should get a bulk change early next week ![]()
I haven’t looked back at the beginning yet, actually - so it’s encouraging to hear that there’s a difference! - it’s not really under control yet, but I do feel I’d be able to say quite a few different things in an interactional situation. Very excited about the impact of the listening in particular ![]()
Wooo, @aran! You’re doing just great! But, where in the name of God did you find that “ne hoću” in Croatian. Correct is neću and this is specialty to Croatian and maybe Serbian too. So, please, when you’d do the changes to the course, correct this one too. It would be “ne želim” but certainly not “ne hoću”. I don’t want you to learn wrong though.
We in Slovene also have “hočem” and “nočem” or “želim” and “ne želim” with which is like in Croatian. “hočem” is demanding something and “želim” is wanting something. Infinitive: “hoteti” and “želeti” just like in Croatian “htjeti” and “željeti”.
A sada hrabro naprijed!
I’m really curious which part of Croatia you’re headed to. If you will fly to Dalmatia, be prepared. You might have a bit tough times to understand people there.
Oh and on the part of people being allerted to new streams of videos on your YouTube: They have to be subscribed to your channel and/or press that bell icon which makes folowers being allerted on th new content by e-mail. If the bell is not pressed, the viewer/subscriber will not get the allert at all.
Diolch, Tatjana! And thank you very much for that correction, it’s on the list now

We’re going to Sibenik, just north of Split, so yes, very much on the coast - I’m pretty sure I’m going to understand very little wherever we go, though ![]()
Aran, is it really so important to do your Croatian bank holidays? ![]()
Me personally, I would have taken the bank holiday off in your shoes; but perhaps you have some good reason for not letting yourself miss a single day.
Anyway, from a selfish point of view. I’m glad you did it and I admire your dedication. ![]()
