6 minutes per day challenge 6

Following on from my previous question, I made myself sit down and dochallenge 6 today, and now I’m confused.

At about 41 minutes the phrase was
something like “I think you speak Welsh very well” so my answer was

“Dw i’n meddwl ti’n siarad cymraeg yn dda iawn”

but the translation provided was

“Dw i’n meddwl bo ti’n siarad cymraeg yn dda iawn”

Which is
“I think THAT you speak Welsh very well”

So is it just a mistake in the lesson, or do I have to imply “that” even though it isn’t spoken?

It may be minor but if it’s just an error on the lesson I don’t mind, but if it’s something I missed I’d like to know

Thanks

It’s one of those things where the ‘that’ is implied but not included in English, but always included in Welsh - with things like this, it’s best to aim for absorbing the pattern rather than trying to match the English word-for-word (because English tends to leave words - especially ‘that’ - out!)

Diolch Lee for the question and Siaron for the answer. I was wondering exactly the same thing.

Thanks Sharon, one of those things I guess I’ll have to remember
